Researchers in Australia recently found a population of what rare species that was once thought to be extinct?

Over the course of a recent study, researchers in Western Australia spotted as many as 50 of these rare, mostly green-and-yellow birds that were once believed to be totally extinct. Still, the night parrot (aptly named, since it’s a parrot that comes out at night) remains one of the rarest species in the country.
